❄ I wish everyone a merry Christmas with their loved ones this year ❄

With all the unexpected changes brought in 2020, I hope that everybody can find some respite and time to recharge over the winter break. This is a piece to listen to when you need a break from the rest of the world.

I have yet to see the movie the piece was composed for, but the emotions conveyed piece are felt by all listeners, and it is amazing what Ryuichi Sakamoto accomplished with this piece.

Grandma – NieR Gestalt & Replicant Piano Collections

When I had to stay home for many days after my knee surgery, NieR Gestalt was there for me to carry me through those times. I rushed through the game in a few days and consequently got all endings (easier than in its sequel).

Even before I played the game, I had known some of its OST, thanks to a cover a long time ago by Zorsy. It was always ‘up there’ to play, and now the time has come. Despite having COVID-19, I hunkered down and got a version I’m satisfied with.

The remake NieR Replicant™ ver.1.22474487139 will be releasing soon (April 2021) and I will definitely be picking it up. Hoping that they also remaster the music to truly show-case how great it is.

Lazy Afternoons – Kingdom Hearts Field & Battle Piano Collections

A relaxing upload in these trying times. I hope you find a nice and quiet moment to enjoy this piece and take a moment to reminiscence about ‘Lazy Afternoons’.

For those wondering, the reason for the big gap between this and last upload was a surgery on my knee, as I tore a ligament. This prevented me from playing for a month and led to some priority changes. Nonetheless, I’m back in business and working on improving my playing once again.

Look forward to further uploads in this year, maybe even something classical for a change of pace!
