Lazy Afternoons – Kingdom Hearts Field & Battle Piano Collections

A relaxing upload in these trying times. I hope you find a nice and quiet moment to enjoy this piece and take a moment to reminiscence about ‘Lazy Afternoons’.

For those wondering, the reason for the big gap between this and last upload was a surgery on my knee, as I tore a ligament. This prevented me from playing for a month and led to some priority changes. Nonetheless, I’m back in business and working on improving my playing once again.

Look forward to further uploads in this year, maybe even something classical for a change of pace!

Musique Pour la Tristesse de Xion – Kingdom Hearts Piano Collections Field & Battle

Really put my all into this piece, hope you enjoy it. It’s one of many Kingdom Hearts videos and there’s sure to be more. For now, I have a new teacher since a little while who helped me with the piece and it’s like a new layer of playing has been opened to me.

Sadly, at the moment I’m injured (knee surgery) and can’t play for almost 2 months probably, but I really can’t wait to go back to playing my music and making even more progress.

Hope you’ll be along for the ride 🙂

Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest – Bloody Tears Piano Version

A series with a soundtrack that will be remembered in gamers’ (and series watchers’) hearts for a long time! And what better homage than Bloody Tears, one of the series staple themes that everybody enjoys!

Of course this also increases the pressure to do well on the piece, this started out as a comment by a friend that he’d like to see a cover of it, I checked out some sheets a while back and loved this arrangement, but started to make some changes to the piece. It’s one of the first pieces, in which I made some alterations. Bringing out more of my inner music is something I’m working on – and since I’m not playing classical music, I shouldn’t feel constraint by the arrangements. Let’s see if this will continue in further pieces or it’ll stay with the sporadic improvising here and there where it fits.

Hope you enjoy the piece and I can both recommend the games (played the first, tried some others), as well as the Netflix series!
