Clash on the Big Bridge (Battle with Gilgamesh) – Final Fantasy V Piano Opera

One of my favorite themes from Final Fantasy to date. Gilgamesh is just such a fun character in the series and with his various debuts also in FFXIV, I’ve just grown to love him!

I really wish that more fans know not only of him, but his music. Being a certified banger, it’s really worth listening to.

More tracks from the Piano Opera book may be incoming, but for now, it’s time for less reaching in difficult and more working on style and finding what I want to play. My musical identity, so to speak. Hope you’ll join me for the ride!

Theme of Love – Piano Opera Final Fantasy IV

“The Cecil I know would never whimper like this!”

With Endwalker (FFXIV) around the corner, there’s no better time than now to share this lovely piece from the first FF game that visited the moon.

Years ago when I played the DS re-release of FFIV, I kept humming the music for a long time. I may be partial, as piano is featured heavily in its soundtrack, but the music is just so endearing. Theme of Love most of all, the relationship between Rosa and Cecil still tugs at my heart-strings to this day.

I hope some of that can be conveyed through my rendition of the piece.

In summer I moved out of my shared flat and into an apartment with my SO, so I’m still perfecting the recording set-up. And I almost decide to have another take, thanks to my hair being a bit more unruly than usual; but decided against it 🙂

Clannad – Nagisa’s Farewell at the Foot of the Hill (Warm Piano Arrange) | より渚~坂の下の別れ

Another piece off of my bucket list.
Ever since having watched the series, I’ve wanted to play the piece. Of course, following the spirit of the series – the right person was required.
Now I’ve found somebody who was up to watching Clannad (and Clannad: After Story) with me – fell in love with the series as well. For her I played the piece for Valentine’s Day.

This recording was done a few weeks afterwards (in a stressful phase), but I focused on the emotional power of the piece and hope you were able to see reflections of my feelings.
